I always enjoyed working with bands. I the most appealing part is the band themselves, they have no reason to be together if they didn’t like each other. So every band is always an awesome group of guys. Trash talking, innuendos, backtalk, complaining, but its all in good humor.
My most recent band shoot with Annalyce was no exception. It was a great way to spend a Wednesday afternoon. I haven’t heard the guys play yet, (not done recording) but it should be cool to see where these guys go, and the other bands I’ve worked with for that matter.

As I may have readers who don’t really know what I’m up to I think now is a good time to fill them in. I graduated from high school and this year I am attending the one year professional photography program at the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria British Columbia.
I am leaving my home town Calgary at the end of this month to move out there, and will return next summer. In the program the school teaches from ‘square one’ and then brings in industry specialists to teach specific genres of photography from weddings to action sports.
That’s about it for now, I’ll keep you all updated with Victoria news on the blog, as well as recent pictures from the program.
I hate making blogs just about my life, so here are some pictures from Jesse’s house. They are some of the only dirt jumps in Calgary for MTB riders outside of COP. And the place has been ravaged by over 6 photographers that I know of, so I knew it was gonna be tough to do anything super creative, as much of it has already been done.

I think it is fair for me to say that this was the most dangerous show for me to be at, as far as equipment safety goes. I saw my flashes being hit several times, and that was only the times that I saw, I can only assume there were innumerable other times they got bumped around.
The show itself was really good, that goes without saying when great bands line up and a whole bunch of people cram into a room to see the madness ensue.
