Don’t you love it when you forget to read instructions?

I was slowly getting myself ready to go take these shots downtown, but about an hour and a half before i planned to leave i got a surprise call from Ian:

“Reuben, there is a car crash out front of the Save on Foods Center downtown. You might not get another good chance to shoot for the hard news project.”

He was talking about an assignment we have had about a month to try to shoot for, its a photojournalism project to cover a hard news subject. I scramble, grab things and run out the door.

I shot the car crash and got my pictures, and continued on to bar code to shoot there, did my stuff and went home. Toss the pictures on my computer and then didn’t touch them until the night i needed to get my assignment together to hand them in.

Looking over the assignment i see ‘Eye Contact’ as one of the requirements… uh oh! I had shoot the whole night without trying for eye contact.

Luckily enough this was close enough that it worked and i got a great mark too. woot!
