Snowboarding -Liar Liar Pants on Fire
So yes, i’m a liar the last post’s moaning about being on the snow for the last time was a falsity. The morning i was supposed to leave Whistler I decided that l didn’t want to leave. Several Phone calls, lots of checking of public transit schedules and adjusting a photoshoot’s time by one hour i was staying in Whistler to Photograph the Grenade Games Finale at the Telus World Ski Snowboard Festival. The Grenade Games cover all of the competitive events for the Snowboarding part of the TWSSF, and last nights biggest and baddest event of the competition was the Big Air – Slopestyle.
After the World Ski Invitational’s Big Air the jump was destroyed by snowcats and reshaped into a new and awsome course for the riders to hit.
Enough Jabber, more Pictures
So now i think i can safely say that I have departed from the snow until next winter. (But we can always hope for something different can’t we?)

What a pleasure working with you at TWSSF this year. Your shots have been perpetually outstanding. Dedicated, motivated, diligent, a slave to your art – you deserve every bit of recognition you get. I look forward to following your progress in the future.
All the best, Gwen.
Hey, good thing you stuck around personally i think these are some of the best shots of your whole trip.
thumbs high
Awesome work! I looked forward every morning to checking the twssf blog and here to see what you captured the previous day!
I was hoping to get a chance to see the superpipe and such but just didnt have the time to do it. Glad I can see it via your photos!
What’s next for you?
-Reuben’s Answer:
I’ve got a couple more weeks of classes at the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, portfolio due in June to graduate and then heading back to my home town Calgary. There i’ll just be working more towards being a full time photographer, how long it takes and what that will look like is still in question
Seems like you really took your time on this. Keep up the good work!
