‘What do I want to be when I grow up?’

When I was a teenager, I started answering that question with: ‘Photographer’.

I still find my answer is ‘I want to be a photographer’. But, the specific dreams continue to change, be it motion projects, producing film, I’m endlessly chasing the elusive rabbits; inspiration and creativity.

I’m grateful for the multitude of experiences that my camera has brought me through, and still find it to be such a magical tool to transport a person into a time, place, and feeling that they wouldn’t visit otherwise.

In recent years I’ve been fascinated with trying to remix a feeling of ‘improv’ into the experience of my shoots, to create an honest playfulness between the viewer and the subject.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m based in Squamish, BC — right between Vancouver and Whistler — which gives me quick access to coastal rainforests, alpine peaks, bike parks, glaciers, and ocean. I shoot frequently in Vancouver, Whistler, the Rockies, and across Canada, but also take on assignments abroad. If you're searching for a BC-based adventure photographer with experience shooting everything from alpine skiing to backcountry trail running to camping gear in the rainforest, that’s exactly where I thrive.

  • I specialize in adventure and commercial outdoor photography, often working with athletes, brands, and tourism agencies to capture stories that feel real, raw, and emotionally present. My focus is on skiing, mountain biking, trail running, hiking, and alpine travel — often shot in remote or mountainous regions across British Columbia and beyond. Whether it's a commercial campaign or an editorial assignment, my goal is to create imagery that connects product, place, and performance in a way that feels lived-in and human.

  • Yes, and often in parallel. I frequently build teams where I direct the visuals and capture stills, while collaborating with trusted cinematographers and editors for the motion side. In some campaigns, I also shoot 16mm film or direct short-form video for use in social campaigns or ads. If your brand or agency needs a seamless mix of photo and video for an outdoor product or experience, I can help lead the full production.

  • Every shoot is a bit different. I base pricing on things like creative scope, pre-production depth, number of deliverables, licensing, size of the company, and travel. For full-day commercial shoots with licensing, rates range from $2500 to $10 000 CAD. I'm always happy to talk openly about budgets. If you're planning a commercial photoshoot for outdoor gear, clothing, or tourism, I can help you build a right-sized plan.

  • I work with outdoor brands, ad agencies, tourism boards, and editorial publications — often people who need photography that blends visual storytelling with technical clarity. Many of my clients are in the adventure, sports, and lifestyle industries: bike and ski manufacturers, trail running apparel brands, or local tourism agencies wanting to level up their campaigns. I’m usually hired by creative directors, brand or content managers looking for a photographer who understands working underneath brand creative direction, while exercising my own inspiration and style.

  • The best part is the collaboration — getting to experience wild places with other creatives, athletes, and storytellers who are pushing themselves in their own craft. There’s something special about building a shoot in the mountains or on the trail where everyone’s input matters, and the terrain is shaping the outcome just as much as the gear or the brief. I also love the physicality of it: climbing, skiing, biking, or hiking as part of the creative process. That blend of artistic intention and effort is what makes this work so rewarding. Whether I’m photographing a ski descent in the Yukon, a trail running shoot in Squamish, or an apparel campaign in Coastal BC, it’s always about creating and experiencing something together.

  • Yes — I’m certified and insured for advanced drone operations in Canada and regularly incorporate drone photography into commercial and tourism campaigns. Whether it’s a wide establishing shot for a tourism board, a flyover of ski touring lines, or tracking riders through a forest trail, drone footage adds perspective that can’t be captured any other way. If you're looking for drone photography services in BC for a commercial outdoor campaign, I’ve got the tools, certifications, and experience to deliver safely and creatively.

All businesses have external impacts, and I’m dedicated to strategically reducing mine in pursuit of a sustainable world.
